Welsh Artist taking Tennessee by Storm - Fiona!

Independent artist, Caitlin Mae, gears up to release her second Nashville recorded single, “Fiona”, a song long awaited by her Dreamers.

After the success of her first Nashville recorded single being released back in August, Welsh artist and singer-songwriter Caitlin Mae has been itching to introduce her next single, “Fiona”, produced at Sound Kitchen Studios, Franklin, Tennessee, the first song to be announced alongside three others that will soon make up her sophomore EP.

Release date: Friday 13th January

Fiona” has got to be one of Caitlin Mae’s lyrically and sonically deepest songs yet. Instrumentally, the track delves into the world of synth and pop whilst her smooth sounding vocals scream modern country as they always have. The song’s theme speaks for itself, a homage to anyone and everyone who has ever felt alone. A powerful line in the chorus, “My Princess tower taller than Fiona’s”, is suggestive of a difficult past with a long road to happiness ahead of her.

Caitlin Mae quotes, “Fiona is the first song I wrote acoustically, when I learnt to play guitar in lockdown, and it will always be very special to me. Although sadness can be found at the heart of the song, I believe that when we find ourselves in darkness, there is always a light switch, even when it appears impossible to find.”

Caitlin Mae has really made the most of 2022, after her plans were put on hold due to the Global Pandemic. Having toured Nashville three times this year, Caitlin Mae played notable venues such as The Bluebird Café, The Listening Room Café, The Wild Wing Café, The Local, and Cabana Taps, where she played her first USA headline show with special guests. Also having made appearances at The International Singer Songwriter Awards in Atlanta, GA, (taking home “Female Vocalist of the Year” Gold Award and “Music Video of the Year”, for her #1 single, “Take My Demons”) and attending The Josie Music Awards held at the famed Grand Ole Opry, Nashville, TN, (receiving the award for “EP of the Year” for her debut EP, “PERSPECTIVE”) Caitlin Mae has even more exciting international plans ahead of her in 2023.

“A song filled with raw emotion and personal meaning; “Fiona” speaks my truth.”
